On-line recording and mapping initiatives
There are many initiatives operating at the national and local level for the collection and mapping of observations of Ireland’s biological diversity. Links to these initiatives are provided below.
The Data Centre is happy to promote and support these initatives as a diversity of recording initiatives with a specialised taxonomic or regional focus is desirable. To this end, the Centre endeavours to have an agreement in place with these intiatives to clarify data flow to avoid duplication. Those initaties whose data already contributes to the Centre’s mapping portal Biodiversity Maps are indicated with a √.
