Submit Records

2009-12-10 13Thank you for submitting observations of wildlife to the National Biodiversity Data Centre. Any observations submitted to the Data Centre will be added to the national biodiversity database. If the observations are for taxonomic groups for which national databases exist, they will be forwarded to the database manager for inclusion in the database. If no national database exists, these data will be held securely by the Data Centre and added to the mapping system in due course.

How to submit records:

  • submit casual records through the specially created online data submisson forms. Data can be submitted either as species records or if you have recorded many species from a site, these can be submitted through site-base forms. To submit records click  here
  • If you have a large number of records held in Excel, Recorder 6 or MapMate format, you can send these directly to the Data Centre at info@biodiversityireland.ie.
