Irish Naturalists’ Journal launches new website

The Irish Naturalists’ Journal which has been published since 1925 has recently launched a new website www.irishnaturalistsjournal.org  that offers wider access to its publications on Ireland’s natural history. This is an exciting step for the journal which is unique in scope and content, covering all aspects of natural history, and is the official journal of the established field clubs.

The website includes a searchable bibliography of articles published in the Irish Naturalists’ Journal and its predecessor the  Irish Naturalist (1892-1924). For INJ subscribers there is access to a full online digital archive of both journals.

This scientific journal publishes short papers and notes on a wide range of topics relating to the natural environment of Ireland, including botany (e.g. rare species, plant communities), zoology (e.g. invertebrates, fish, mammals, birds), geology (e.g. palaeontology, regional geology, mineral records), obituaries and book reviews. Contributions concerning any aspect of Irish natural history are welcomed. The Editor will always be pleased to advise an intending contributor on the preparation of a manuscript for submission.
