The work of the Data Centre over the coming year will be presented around a thematic framework. This framework will be structured around six main themes. These themes are:

Threatened Species and Habitats

Invasive Species

Climate Change

National Databases and Surveys – biodiversity information

Ecosystem Services

Biodiversity Research & Training

These thematic areas will be developed by the Data Centre into an extensive data and information management system over the coming months.
