Bumblebee Monitoring Scheme
Record bumblebees along a 1-2km fixed route walk once a month from March until October
The All-Ireland Bumblebee Monitoring Scheme was set up in 2011 and is the main scheme within the Irish Pollinator Initiative. It provides long term data on changes in bumblebee populations in Ireland, and is used to track changes in wild pollinators as a result of implementation of the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan 2015-2020. At its core, this Plan is about providing food and shelter across all types of land so that our pollinators can survive and thrive.
