Call for submission of photographs for consideration for the Atlas of Mammals in Ireland: 2010 – 2015
The National Biodiversity Data Centre and the National Parks and Wildlife Service have commenced preparations for the publication of Ireland’s first ever Atlas of Mammals in Ireland: 2010 – 2015 which is due for publication in November 2016.
The Atlas will provide distribution maps of all 69 terrestrial and marine wild mammals that have been recorded in Ireland and its marine waters. More than 40 national experts have been invited to author species accounts for the Atlas. To complement this information, the Data Centre is looking to obtain good quality photographs to accompany the species accounts. As there are so many of you who already submit high quality wildlife photographs to us we’d like to offer you the opportunity to have one of your photographs selected for the atlas. The Data Centre will provide a free Atlas to any person whose photographs are used in the publication.
Images should be submitted as medium resolution JPEG/JPG files and emailed to info@biodiversityireland.ie before 1st May, 2016. HIgher resolution photographs may be requested at a later date.
