Download species distribution maps

If there is a particular species that you have an interest in and you wish to obtain a species distribution map, it’s simple.

1. Search for the species you are interested by either using the search bar for species on the homepage of Biodiversity Maps, or by using the species search webpage. Once you have found the species, click on its name to enter it’s profile and it is from here that you will be able to download species distribution maps.

2. 10km² and 50km² distribution maps are shown for selected species. Click Download to download the distribution maps in multiple formats or for instructions on how to embed the map in your own website.

Downloading species distribution maps is a very straightforward process and can be done from each of the species we have information on in the National Biodiversity Database. Click on the image to enlarge.
